Solutions

Software, firmware and services

From the HP SCDS centers we participate, collaborate, and develop software, firmware, and services to increase the value of the different HP products and our own portfolio.

Software solutions

We have a wide experience developing all types of software like drivers, on-premises, big data, and cloud solutions using the latest technologies for the printing (office, large format, and 3D) and computing (hybrid systems) HP businesses among others.

We offer drivers to streamline printer usage from operating systems like Windows and various applications. Our desktop and cross-platform software applications empower users to monitor their printers' status, both 2D and 3D, and manage multiple printers and print queues effortlessly. Additionally, our automated testing solutions ensure the seamless functionality, robustness, and resource efficiency of our developed applications.

We also collaborate with the computing business sector to develop hybrid systems for Poly. Our involvement spans from firmware development to desktop and cloud applications, ensuring comprehensive solutions across various platforms.

Firmware solutions

We are working with most of the large format and 3D printing systems (prototypes and current products) from the engine ecosystem to the front panel.

We develop firmware components that control the mechatronics (motors, sensors, state machines, etc.) of large-format printers, ensuring smooth and precise operation.

We have created a suite of libraries, both firmware and software, for managing the workflow of large-format printers. From job submission to color rasterization, including format conversion and printer settings, our libraries streamline the printing process.

The Embedded Web Server (EWS) is a web page server housed within the printers, requiring no installation from users. By simply accessing the printer's IP address through a web browser, users can access various functionalities in up to 14 different languages, directly from the machine itself.

Our project aims to develop firmware controlling the front panel of HP's large-format printers. Acting as a touch-sensitive interface, the front panel provides users with direct control over the printer's functions and progressively displays its status and subsystems. This interface is present in both 2D and 3D large-format printers.

Services

Operating from our centers in Barcelona and León, we provide second-level support to clients and partners in the EMEA region (CET and Webpress) within the large format domain.

In addition, our centers in Madrid, Barcelona, and León offer technical and management support to clients enrolled in 'pay-per-use' printing contracts. We administer monitoring solutions, access management, and printing security.

Furthermore, we implement, support, and provide training, actively contributing to the design of new proposals for clients and partners in the printing and computing sectors. This includes product presentations and ongoing support.
