App for viewing historical photographs in Augmented Reality within the city
Keywords: Computer Vision, Augmented Reality
Complejidad: 7.5
In many cities, there is a rich photographic record of how the city and its most iconic buildings have evolved over time. To see how these changes have occurred in person, many cities are starting to offer Augmented Reality tools that allow users to observe this evolution. These tools serve not only as tourist attractions and educational resources about urban development but also as a way for elder adults to look back and nostalgically remember past times.
The project involves developing a mobile app that allows users to move through the city and, as they approach a location where an old photo is available, overlay the historical image onto the real-time camera view.

The app will integrate with the blockchain to implement these criteria for user authentication.
A tool for evaluating programming knowledge
Keywords: Coding, Web Development, FullStack Development
Complejidad: 8
The questions for each test would be randomly selected from a pool of questions classified by knowledge level.
Additionally, there could be predefined tests or tests based on templates (user profiles).
Tool for making nearly imperceptible changes in a video sequence visible
Keywords: Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Image Processing
Complejidad: 8.5
There are times when elements in a scene appear completely static, but in reality, changes over time (such as changes in the elements) are so subtle that they go unnoticed: a baby's breathing, the swaying of a crane, blood circulation...
The goal of this project is to design a Machine Learning system that magnifies subtle changes occurring between each pair of consecutive images, so that these changes can be visually identified.
Machine Learning tool for identifying the date when a photograph was taken
Keywords: Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Image Processing
Complejidad: 7.5
Many family or city photo archives can date back over a century in some cases. In many of these photos, someone took care to write down the date or at least the year when the photograph was taken, but in many others, this information is missing.
The goal of this project is to develop a Machine Learning tool that helps date a photograph based on a labeled catalog of similar photos.
Machine Learning tool for reducing image size while preserving structural information
Keywords: Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Image Processing
Complejidad: 7.5
Downsampling algorithms often do not provide optimal results when reducing the size of images of plans where significant elements are small (such as thin lines, text, etc.). In some cases, a vector version of these plans is available, allowing for optimal visualization, but often only a raster image is available, and the only solution is to use these downsampling algorithms.
The goal of this project is to develop a Machine Learning tool that trains a neural network to learn how to reduce the size of plan images without losing structural information.
Machine Learning tool for generating realistic building plans
Keywords: Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Image Processing
Complejidad: 9.5
Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) have demonstrated the ability to generate realistic images of previously unknown elements. They have been used to create hyper-realistic faces of non-existent people and even to transfer styles between works of art.
The goal of this project is to implement a GAN that learns to generate house and building plans indistinguishable from real plans.
Machine Learning tool for processing scanned documents
Keywords: Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Image Processing
Complejidad: 7.5
We are in the era of digitalization. Major libraries make their digitized catalogs available to everyone. However, searching for information in scanned books is not easy. This is where document content segmentation techniques come into play.
The goal of this project is to create a Machine Learning tool to identify different areas of a document (text, photos, graphs, headers, footers, etc.) and recreate that structure in a chosen document format (HTML, LaTeX, SVG, etc.), so that the text, once processed by OCR, can be consulted within its context.
System to streamline check-in at events and facilities
Keywords: Printing
Complejidad: 7
Arriving at an event or a company with access control measures often requires standing in long lines while the reception staff attend to us, take our details, and print a visitor badge.
The goal of this project is to develop an application that streamlines this process using HP multifunction printers. Users could approach a printer, scan their ID (in any position), and fill out a form with their information. The printer would email all the information to the reception staff responsible for validating it and print out the credentials that accompany the access card to the facilities.
Mobile app for working with HP multifunction printers without physical contact
Keywords: COVID, Printing, Mobile Development
Complejidad: 8
Whether for health protocols to minimize risks or due to circumstances that prevent physical access to the printer, there is a need to evaluate the possibility of using an alternative method to operate HP multifunction printers without physical contact.
The goal of this project is to develop a mobile app that allows users to configure a printer by scanning a QR code and then operate it from their mobile device in the same way they would if they were physically in front of it.
Tool for cognitive development in elder adults
Keywords: Social, Mobile Development
Complejidad: 7
As we age, our memory begins to decline, and our cognitive processes deteriorate. There are various exercises that can help slow down this degenerative process and strengthen cognitive skills.
The goal of this project is to implement a series of exercises and games within a mobile and tablet app that allows elder adults to engage in activities designed to improve cognitive development and memory.
This project will be carried out in collaboration with Cruz Roja León.

Mobile app for tracking the daily log of a person with diabetes
Keywords: Medicine, Mobile Development
Complejidad: 7.5
Over the past few decades, there has been a significant increase in the number of people affected by diabetes. Projections for 2035 indicate that the number of diabetics will double to reach 5.1 million. For those affected, it represents a significant lifestyle change and constant monitoring. Therefore, it is crucial to manage the disease and understand oneself.
The goal of this project is to create a mobile app that allows users to maintain a diary of their physical activity, blood sugar levels, carbohydrate intake, insulin units, and the ability to make additional notes for each entry. While many of these factors can be entered manually, the app will also offer the option to read blood sugar measurements directly from an intracutaneous sensor via NFC and acquire activity measurements from mobile sensors or through APIs from activity trackers or sports computers.
