On June 19, we attended—in partnership with Abbott—the 2026 Diabetes Statistical and Clinical Scientific Summit in Madrid, an event that brings together healthcare professionals, researchers, and technology experts to address the main challenges surrounding diabetes and its clinical management.
Although diabetes was the central focus of the event, one of the most interesting aspects was gaining insight into how many of the challenges we face in this field stem from problems common to the entire healthcare system:
👉 Fragmented information across different systems
👉 Difficulty in translating data into clinical decisions
👉 Overburdened medical teams
👉 Barriers to integrating new tools into daily practice
Both during the presentations and in the breakout sessions, we were able to reflect on how to address these issues from different perspectives: advancements in continuous monitoring, prediction and prevention models, the use of AI to interpret clinical data, and proposals to improve the integration of technology in real-world settings.
We believe it is essential to participate in events such as the Diabetes Statistical and Clinical Scientific Summit, where we can gain firsthand insight into the sector’s current needs and learn how to design solutions that not only address them but also make them easier to use for both patients and healthcare professionals.
We’re back, full of ideas and inspiration to continue working on useful, applied technology that adds value and improves people’s lives.
