Today we’d like to share a brief recap of our annual offsite with you. Every summer, we set aside some time to get together, connect with colleagues from different teams, and enjoy a fun day away from the office.
This year we traveled to Astorga, a city that, like León, is part of the Camino de Santiago. It’s the perfect setting to remind ourselves that what matters isn’t just reaching the destination, but making progress together.
Along the Camino, it’s normal to have good days and others when fatigue takes its toll. Sunny mornings and rainy afternoons. Solitary stretches and moments when we lean on fellow pilgrims to stay on course. No path is a straight line: there are always unexpected turns, ups, and downs. But the important thing is not to forget why we’re walking—and above all, that we’re not doing it alone. Together, we go further, enjoy the journey more, and overcome difficulties better.
Astorga taught us a beautiful lesson: even in difficult moments, we must keep moving forward. What matters isn’t finishing first, but keeping on walking.
Afterward, we gave it our all at the HP SCDS Olympics, where competition went hand in hand with camaraderie, teamwork, and a desire to have fun. And we wrapped up the day by gathering around the table and enjoying a moment that has already become a tradition: the Awards ceremony, where we recognize the hard work and dedication of our colleagues.
Days like these remind us of our greatest strength: behind every project is a team moving forward together in the same direction.
Thank you to the Astorga City Council and its mayor, José Luis Nieto, for the warm welcome; to TalentÁrea for organizing such a fun Olympics; and to the entire HP SCDS team for your enthusiasm 💙
