After many months of work, on Friday, October 4th, we had the pleasure of presenting the virtual reality experience of the Panteón de los Reyes at the San Isidoro Museum to the media in León.
Miguel Ángel Turrado, accompanied by Abbot D. Luis García and the museum director, Raquel Jaén, shared how this incredible collaboration began 7 years ago with the 3D scanning of the Chalice of Doña Urraca, and how we continue to innovate today to bring art closer to everyone beyond the walls of San Isidoro.
The experience will be available for testing for several weeks at San Isidoro, and later, it will tour the world in collaboration with other museums to present what is known as the Sistine Chapel of Romanesque art.
Thank you to everyone who made this project possible.
We are already working on the next collaboration. We are excited about what’s to come!
